We are having a long debate with some colleagues about Edward Snowden: Hero or Zero? No in-between choice, a sort of binary attitude! Of course, it is not that simple, but sometimes it’s good to take a side… What do you think?
We did not reach an agreement, and at the end of the day, it only shows the level of people’s trust in institutions at large.
Listen to him:
Mr. Snowden has an incredible communication plan while he is only repeating what others have already said (e.g., Binney, Drake). But the plan looks genuine, and his constant ability to put the -real- matter back at the center of the conversation, rather than his own self, must be quite disarming for the NSA.
But the bottom-line question is yet simple: What type of society do we want to live in? … And yet, the same is tremendously overwhelming for many people.
How the NSA answers:
“Rethink the role of the internet in our lives,” but moreover: What type of society do we want in the future?
